:?: Can I use the existing 3/8 carpet padding as underlayment for the 3/4 X 3 1/4 oak flooring?

Even I would know not to use that and I have never installed hardwood flooring before(my old carpet and the padding underneath+ plywood will be replaced whole house). I think what you want to do roconnell is a bad idea.
