We just installed prefinished parquet flooring, and we are having a problem removing the wood flooring adhesive that got all over the floor. We have tried removing it with mineral spirits, but that just pretty much spread the glue around on the floor and we are left with a sticky floor. I also wonder if the mineral spirits could possibly be damaging the finish on the flooring. Please help! Thank you! :D

What type of adhesive did you use? Some brands require a particular solvent.

I like Naptha. It has served me well with most adhesives. Whatever cleaner you use, make sure you dump it in a rag and not on the floor.

Sounds like you kept using the same rag, mineral spirits should do the trick even for fully cured glue just make sure you are using clean rags.
