I have an engineered maple glued down to concrete in my living room. Recently, we re-tiled the ceramic tiles foyer (connecting to the living room) with limestone tiles. The problem we have is the original hardwood installer lowered the last piece of engineering hardwood (about 4ft long in an downward slope towards the foyer) to match the ceramic tiles. Is there an easy way to take this last piece of wood out without damaging it? I would like to reuse the same piece of wood (make it flat or slope upwards towards the foyer) because I don't have access to this wood anymore.
Thanks in advance.

I think you are going to have a tough time getting that piece out intact if it is a glue down install. If it is an end piece you can try using a pry bar to gently pull it up working further and further under the board. I would give that about a 10% chance of actually working. Someone else may have a better idea but I have not found a good way to salvage glue down flooring. You best bet is going to be to try to match the flooring.
