What is the most ideal approach to a prefinished floors? It's a maple floor with aluminum oxide manufacturing plant completion. I have heard things like utilizing old paper on the enormous machine to evacuate the plant completion top layer for your first pass then treat like an unfinished floors (40/60/100). I additionally read about paper made particularly for production line completion floors. Since its maple I'm anticipating completing with a 120 on the enormous machine. Any exhortation will be readily appreciate. thank ypu

I recommend Diamabrush Hardwood tool..I used it many times to sand Aluminum oxide finishes..

it works wonders..then you sand as normal with typical sanding machines.

here is a link...

Ceno Satellite also makes a similar product,,both go on typical floor buffing machines..well worth the money..

here is a link.. http://www.diamabrush.com/wood.htm

you can also use a Clark FA-8 Abrader machine with a 36 grit wire wheel to remove coating first..then sand as you will normally..this machine is great for removing coatings off handscraped/sculpted and antiqued flooring..

My flooring people suggested water and vinegar. (1) I found it didn't work. (2) My house smelled like the bottom of a pickle barrel.

A handyman who takes care of things around my home introduced me to a product called, "Clean Shine." It comes in a white plastic spray bottle and is available in our local supermarket. It can be used for daily cleaning or to get a special new floor glow. I never get excited about cleaning products this one get a 10 as far as I'm concerned. (It also works well on my new-fangled acrylic floors.)
