 Post subject: sanding

started sanding 450ft today old floor was cover with carpet for years
started 60grit it started guming up bad,edger samething,it was a bad
day. please help!!!!

You may have to do your first cut with an open coat paper (36 grit?) to pull the finish off. Not too heavy on the pressure though or you will be forever removing the scratch lines from this cut.

or even 24 grit, then go to 40 then 80. nothing you can really do about the edger I usually have to change the disc every few feet. If there is wax on the floor you might want to hand scrape it off or use a chemical stripper.
