I am finally at the point where I am ready to fasten down my oak treads to my staircase. I messed up a bit because of bad measurements but overall I think I did a good for for the first time. My question is, how should I fasten these treads? I think I asked thie question before but I was told by a friend that I can definately glue the treads down with some good glue to avoid having any noticable nail or screw holes. I obviously would putty and stain them but I figure you can probably still see something.

Will gluing be good enough?
I've attached a photo of what I started with. I removed all the construction treads puttied the tack strip holes on the risers and sands and primed.
