I started my floor with satin waterbased poly got about 25% of a small room done. When i noticed it drying lighter than i expected. I like the look of the wood when it is wet. If i wanted to switch to gloss now, i need to resand all the satin off correct, or will the gloss over the satin make fill in all the surface texture and make it clear? Like water on a frosted glass

The last coat of finish will show the gloss characteristic of the final coat.
In my experience even a matte finish can be polished over time by stocking feet to show the gloss sheen in traffic areas.
If the surface that you have now has been properly prepared, by smoothing the surface with fine sandpaper or a screen the gloss coating will be smooth and shiny. The final coat should not change the color.
