With modern houses there is not much air exchange with outside air. It takes warmth to cure the finish along with time.
If you want to help the finish cure sooner it would be better to have the heat come on to warm up the house during the warmest part of the day. After the house gets warm you could open the windows for 20 minutes or so to let any smell disperse.
The heat from a furnace will tend to rise to the ceiling. A box fan in large rooms to help circulate the warmest air can help warm up the floor before opening windows. Cold outside air does not hold much moisture.
