Hello,

I installed a new oak floor in my house recently. The sanding was done by a professional at 36-60-80.

I then screened the floor at 100-150. I don't have any scratch marks or anything.

Where I did mess up was when I water popped the floor before staining.

I'm not sure how I messed this up but I could see the Waterpop marks in a couple spots, I guess I was not careful enough in consistency or leaving it to dry long enough?

I then Re-screened at 100-150. MOST of the stain is off. It actually doesn't look horrible, just a really light brown, but not very consistent throughout.

My question is, what to do from here? should I apply another even coat of stain over the already light stain? Will it still be inconsistent throughout?

Any advice is greatly appreciated, I'm working on uploading some photos.

Thank you
