I had engineered wood, BR111, installed in my home. The installers must have put something on it to make it shine. The result is a sticky mess. My shoes stick to the floors when I walk. ALL shoes and sneakers leave footprints.

Help!!!! What can I use to clean the engineered wood so that the floors will NOT be sticky?

Thank you!

Sounds like they used Murphys Oil Soap, and didn't dilute it.

Mineral spirits and a lot of clean towels.

The installers left it sticky?

Go to the BR-111 website and follow cleaning and maintenance guidlines... I would suggest dampening a clean/cotton towel and wiping the residues left by somebody not following maintenance directions, but that suggestion is not to industry standards;;;; but it works when removing residues off the surface.

Could be they used some type of adhesive remover on it. I think I would call them and asked how this happened. Remember the old saying... whoever touched it last just bought it.
