Is this doable or better yet recomended. I have a floor that consists of 1/4"plywood on top of 1/4" cement board on top of 1/2" osb on top of cement. Good or bad idea? If bad idea can you tell me of a web site where I could read about it and print something out. I have been laying hardwood for 12 yrs now and have never run into something quite like this.

Not recommended by ANYONE ANYWHERE! Besides, do you KNOW if there is a vapor barrier under that 1/2" OSB? It is required under a wood subfloor/underlayment/nailing base that is over a concrete slab. Could you install over it? Yes! Should you install over it? No!

RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't even think about it. Tear it all out and do it right, or don't do it at all.

This is one of those, "never lost money, on a job I didn't do".
