 Post subject: Tape on Glued wood flooring.

Floorguy, I was looking at something you posted about leveling a floor. You posted some pics. I know that this is a very stupid question, but I am kinda known for those. What was the tape for. I have been installing flooing for 4 years, under 3 different teachers, and have never seen this used. I kinda get the concept, keeping the from moving in the glue. But would like more info. Thank you for your time.

If you want a gapless floor, tape it.

Almost all manufacturers instructions state to use 3m blue tape as I do.

I work on top of my floor( I don't weigh much), I don't need it moving on me.

That blue tape is a munnymaker. This is especialy true if you are using water based glues like Taylor 2071 or Millineum or whatever.
