What is the national association (or local) that any self-respecting, qualified hardwood installer would belong to?

There has to be one.

My GC has hired an "expert witness" who claims to be from some cockamamie organization I've never heard of.

Thanks,
Z

LOL!! What is the name of that outfit? There are a lot of carpet cleaners turned certified hardwood floor inspectors lately. Not kidding about that either.

I would want one that has been through the schools and has been "certified" by either the NWFA or NOFMA to perform hardwood inspections.

I don't think they do certifications. They are an org, the inspectors already certifed by any certifying body, can become a member of for marketing and to bring all inspectors together as a whole, or one voice.

That is sort of a club for independent inspectors already certified by another body. Do a search there and find out what your inspectors credentials are. NWFA and NOFMA are not the only 2 with good training but there are some questionable ones out there.
