We've been looking into a number of different brands for pre-finished oak and costs may end up being prohibitive. I'd like to consider unfinished planks and having someone finish them on site, but I have a neurogenic disorder that makes me super-sensitive to many chemicals. I've never had to deal with floor chemicals before, but I'm concerned that the fumes will make me sick, since I've had problems in the past with wood adhesives, new carpet, paints, and some foams. I do well with low-emission paints--does anyone know if there s such a thing as a low-emission product for finishing wood floors? A sort of least-toxic alternative?

BONA Eon 70 has the lowest VOC's in any floor finish that I am aware of.

Eon is the lowest VOC urethane out there.
