I want to put tigerwood on my stairs but am having a hard time finding treads. Did you use bullnose and make them yourself or did you buy the treads? If you bought them, where?

The stair treads came from "rare earth hardwoods", somewhere in Michigan I think, do a search and you chouold find the website easily..good prices and huge selection..1 1/16" thick.

Sean: That is one beautiful floor. Do you mind if I ask the manufacturer? Is it Bellawood as Ken noted above? We've talked about the Bellawood previously, so I'm wondering if it's something else.

Thanks,

Dakota

Dakota, Yeah its the dreaded Bellawood!> Not good quality, you can't see in the pictures but theres a lot of filler in there to hide all the gaps caused by inconsistent board width, seems to be a Bella trademark!. This was a builder we do work for and he bought the wood himself. He's a good customer so we installed it. takes time and hard work to make that floor look good. Everybody who came for his open house and in the "parade of homes" loved the floor so maybe its juts an installer thing!

Maybe it's an installer thing, but apparently it took a really good install to engender those comments. Good work. I realize they're "just" photos, but the floor looks beautiful. If I was in your area, I'd hire you in a second!

Thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate it!

Dakota
