Hi,
I plan to install 300 sq of 3/4 IN X 2 1/4 IN in solid oak with method "nail down" Bruce ABC400 from Lowe's. I would like to buy four things for this task:
pneumatic nailer,
finish nailer for the first two rows and couple last rows,
air compressor for pneumatic nailer,
nails.
I do not want to rent tools because I want to take my time to install. I heard that pneumatic nailer & air compressor should be around $400. I do not know how much it is for finish nailer. Type of nails ?
Any advices for pneumatic nailer, finish nailer, air compressor for pneumatic nailer & nails ?
Thank you very much.
Mag

I would think, unless you get a used floor nailer, the nailer itself will cost over $400. I have a Porter Cable FCN200 that cost $400 on its own. A decent pancake type air compressor will easily cost another $150 to $200. I have a 33 gal. one that was about $500. The finish nailer is another $150-$200. Your best bet would be to get the floor nailer and a compressor/finish nailer combo kit.

I use Porter Cable for all my needs, but Bostitch seems to be the most popular choice.

Home Depot and Lowe's run Kit combos all the time, with a finish nailer, and compressor with hose, for around $160 - $289.

The flooring staplers, or cleat nailers are going to run $350 - $600
