i just redid my floors. it was a very humid time period. when the coat of poly was put on it dried really fast and now has this white film on it. It smears and seems like it is wet on top but doesn't seem like i can wipe it up. Is this excess moisture that hasn't dried all the way, or do I need to rescreen and recoat with poly? please help? this is a time sensitive issue for me.

the top of the coating dried thru before underneath...and it is causing hazing...

leave it be..try to set a more thorough drying condition,whether use of heat or AC..e

the film you see are the solvents not being released thru the dry top.....as it diried to fast and not evenly

did you use a fan during application? or AC on too cold? this can cause that sometimes...the finish probably felt as if it were"dragging" during application..

you need to wait..or resand and redo...a topcoat now will not fix ti until it is dried thoroughly..

was there a wet basement? excess humidity?
