I am preparing to install engineered wood to concrete. My dealer sold me Taylor 2071 Adhesive. I am unable to find the trowel recommended by Taylor. They suggest a trowel (1/4" deep x 3/16" wide "V" notch with a 1/2" flat space) for flooring under 7/16". Every trowel I have found only has a 1/4" flat space between the notches.

Lumber Liquidators said they had one and when I picked it up the guy was measuring the 1/2" distance on the center of each "V" notch which equaled 1/4" flat space. I tried to attach a photo from the Taylor glue instructions.

Any suggestions? Thank you

That adhesive is ok but I'd step up to Taylor MS+ if I was going over concrete. Read the online instructions carefully!!

Although this adhesive retards MVT, it is not intended to function as a moisture barrier.

Sounds crazy, but I never used the trowel they said when I used 2071 a lot.

Never put down enough glue for my liking. I would end up making the notch deeper with my angle grinder and diamond blade.

The best trowel I notched for that glue was an old 1/8x1/8 carpet trowel every 3rd notch(3/8) I would make a 3/8" deep cut, which was about an 1/8 wide and u notched. Loved that trowel! Buddy helped me on a job and he too loved it. Enough to take it with him LOL!
