hi guys

I am working on 6 years old floor. I sand it thrugly to the "bone" and after staining black spots are coming out. What to do with floors with too much water damage? Is there any spaecial stain or paint for it?

You can always paint it with an oil-based enamel such as rust-oleum and then polyurethane over that. Painted floors are becoming a new old trend. I see a lot of people asking for them and many of the manufactures such as BR-111 are starting to carry lines of prefinished that are painted rather than stained. Ebony or black seem to be the trend but I have seen everything from gloss white to blue.
