My oak floors are over 100 yrs old and are narrow (1 1/2) strips. I can't find anything to match. In some areas there are water marks which have left the wood stained black in spots and whitish in others. The stains remain after light sanding (not enough wood left for heavy sanding).
Any suggestions for removing the stains? I really do not want to replace the flooring

We are restoring the wood floors in our house. They two are 1-1/2 inch boards (red and white oak). We were told by a "professional" that we would not be able to get the same size wood. On our own, we checked with a lumber company and they were able to mill us the size hardwood flooring we needed. AND - it was very inexpensive. You might check with a lumber company near you.
