Without getting into details, my GC's flooring guy quit and we have a tricky problem that needs expertise.
Here's the deal:
We're doing an apartment combo. The existing floors are heartwood pine finished with "Garco Moisture Cure Urethane - clear standard satin". I don't know the first thing about this..I think it's oil based? Anyway, we like the warm amber color of this product, but we were told that it's kind of 'contract grade' stuff.

The challenge is that we need to match a new area of heartwood pine and don't want to use this stuff. Before our flooring guy quit, he used Bona Amber Seal and Bona Satin – lovely finish, but way too light.
Now we're trying to figure out a way to get a match.

We did some tests and like how Waterlox looks on the pine – it gets close to the color. Can Bona traffic be used over Waterlox? Does this need a seal in between?

Confused!

Chris

Moisture cure urethane was developed for the Southeastern United States since the climate there is best suited for a finish that needs humidity to cure. It is very
resistant to wear and keeps it's gloss level.
Waterlox seals the wood.
