Hello folks, I'm thinking of adding recoating to my services. I presently clean carpet, tile and marble restoration. I attended a presentation of Basic's Tykote system. I'm wondering how this compares to traditional screen and recoating. I also did a 4 day training with Bona last year and there recoat process was gone over (maroon pad with the sandpaper inserts then Traffic).

Will the slight abrasion from the maroon/sandpaper take out more scratches then the chemical process (Tykote). It does appear from the abrasion that it would. If it's just scratches on the finish will either system fill them out evenly?.

Not looking to get into refinishing yet, just a little push for this tough economy.

Depends on the depth of the scratch. It could accentuate the scratch.
