Hi I am looking for some feedback. I have installed a number of hardwood floors but new to anything beyond 3 1/4 pre-finished stuff. I am looking at doing Wide Plank Hardwood flooring from possibly 3 different companies. The first is Carlisle flooring in New Hampshire, next if Colonial plank flooring (in Pennsylvania) or Timber Knee (Vermont). I have done a ton of research on these companies and it looks like they are all "great". Looking to make a final decision and wondered if anyone had experiences with them.

Thanks

Chris :D

I've seen several Carlise floors and they are nice and great people to deal with but omg are they the proudest flooring company on the planet. Dont believe ALL the hype thats my 2 cents. Carlise has one of the best marketing in the buisness so alot of what you are paying for is pretty literature and samples.

Hi - I am a brand new user of this site. The first thing I did was search "Carlisle" because I am about to have a new prefinished cherry floor installed and Carlisle is the only source I have found. So, did you choose Carlisle? And, if so, are you happy with the results?

I'd buy Carlisle if I could afford it. They have great marketing, all the way down to how your supposed to unload the planks from the truck to stacking. It means they take great pride in their product. Unlike many other manufacturers who could care less. Love them guys.

Carlise has changed some over the years. The family that owned it sold it to some investment company. I think that and all the changes and additions to the line. They still make a really nice product its just not as nice as it used to be 10 years ago. You used to be able to install it and just hit it with a buffer. Not anymore.
