If using wood dough to fill cracks and holes, how can I assure that it will be the same color as the rest of the floor at end of refinishing?

We pros do not use wood dough. Go to a hardwood flooring distributor and get some Woodwise Patch or Timbermate. It comes in different species colors and can be stained as well.
