In my opinion, this machine does the best job. May not be the cheapest, lightest, most durable BUT this will produce the flatest floors with the very least wave and dishout; without having to hardplate your floors. Wish this was around when I bought my Hummel. But since it weighs as much a chevy small block, I wouldn't have been able to move it by myself. Perhaps someday when I win the lottery.

I have a friend that uses that machine.

He is almost 7 feet tall and weighs 350. The machine weighs more than him.

He uses only galaxy stuff. That machine is so durn heavy, you can move about as fast as you want to and still cut the hell out of a floor.

i agree totally and swear by these machines. the cut is so precise the only other machine that cuts as flat imo is a 12-inch macphearson drum sander. drawback of the galaxy is weight and obviousley cost (about $12-13000 au). but they can be easily transported if u split the motor from the chassis and carry them in seperately. i used them for a few years before changing company's who only use 10 inch franks which are garbage imo but now a friend has purchased galaxy that i now have access to and once again im in heaven :D :D :D

I use a galaxy super 8 very nice. Just broke down going in the shop friday. Just needs a tune up, maybe a switch. Heavy as heck though.
