Late night and last piece in corner nailed down incorrectly I believe. It wraps around a heater vent and I put two nails on thin section. I'm afraid id will start cracking when it expands. Should I drill (4) 1/8" holes 90 degrees apart right next to each nail to allow clearance for expansion movements ? Fortunately the heater vent covers this area.

The thin area in question is 1" x 12" long.

Thanks,
Ronald
